Hadith ~ Loves for his brother

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Abu Hamzah Anas bin Malik (May Allah be satisfied with him) who was the servant of the Messenger of Allah (SAWS) reported that the Prophet (SAWS) said: “None of you truly believes (in Allah and His religion) until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

Ayaat 164-167 ~ Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

164. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and earth are signs for a people who use reason.

165. And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah. But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment.

166. [And they should consider that] when those who have been followed disassociate themselves from those who followed [them], and they [all] see the punishment, and cut off from them are the ties [of relationship],

167. Those who followed will say, “If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us.” Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire.

Sura 2. Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

Commentary ~ The Target in the Shot

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Imam Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

“Justice has one image and injustice has several. This is why it is easy to do injustice and it is difficult to stick to justice alone.

Both resemble the one who hits the target in the shot and the one who misses it.

To hit the target requires training, while to knowingly commit injustice requires nothing of the same.”

Hadith ~ A Muslim is the Brother of a Muslim

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (May Allah exalt his mention and protect him from imperfection) said: “Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales. Do not look for others faults. Do not spy one another, and do not practice Najsh (means to offer a high price for something in order to allure another customer who is interested in the thing). Do not be jealous of one another and do not nurse enmity against one another. Do not sever ties with one another. Become the slaves of Allah, and be brothers to one another as He commanded. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He should neither oppress him nor humiliate him. The piety is here! The piety is here! While saying so he pointed towards his chest. “It is enough evil for a Muslim to look down upon his Muslim brother. All things of a Muslim are inviolable for his brother in Faith: his blood, his wealth and his honor. Verily, Allah does not look to your bodies nor to your faces but He looks to your hearts and your deeds.” (Muslim)
